CHAPTER 363.


AN ACT to ratify, confirm, and make valid acts and pro-


ceedings of the directors of the Union Bridge Water Coni-


in Carroll County, Maryland, in borrowing money to


fully complete the water works of said company.


WHEREAS, the directors of the Union Bridge Water


Company in Carroll County on the 13th day of September,

Preamble,

1887, did pass an order, supposing they had the legal


authority to do so, authorizing the president and one


director of the board to borrow forty -five hundred dollars


($4,500.00) and they did also on the first day of January,


1889, borrow six hundred and seven dollars and sixty -seven


cents ($607.67) for the purpose of completing said water


works,


AND WHEREAS, the said sum of five thousand one


hundred and seven dollars and sixty-seven cents ($5,107.67)

Preamble.

was borrowed and the whole of it applied as economically


and judiciously as their judgment dictated, therefore,


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of


Maryland, That the acts and proceedings of the directors

borrowing money to complete the aforesaid water works


and the engagements entered into by them in consequence


thereof, be and the same are hereby ratified, confirmed


and made valid.


SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
