Prince George's county in some national bank, and the same shall
|
|
|
|
be drawn out only by cheque or warrant of said board, counter-
|
|
|
|
signed by at least three of said depositors, and in drawing cheques
|
|
|
|
or warrants relating to the affairs of said county, signatures shall
|
|
|
|
only be attached thereto in session of said board and when the
|
|
|
|
body of the same has been filled in.
|
|
|
|
SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That any misapplication of the
|
|
|
|
funds provided for by this act by the said county commissioners
|
|
|
|
shall render them and each and all of them participating in such
|

misapplication or misuse, liable to indictment by the grand jury,
|
|
|
|
and upon conviction, they shall be punished by imprisonment in
|
|
|
|
jail for not less than one nor more than five years, and limitations
|
|
|
|
shall be no bar to said indictment.
|
|
|
|
SEC. 8. And be it further enacted, That the coupons for the
|
|
|
|
several semi-annual instalments of interest to accrue on said bonds
|
|
|
|
respectively, shall each be signed and countersigned in like man-
|
|
|
|
ner as said bonds with the genuine signature of the president and
|
|
|
|
clerk of the board; and at or after their maturity shall be pre-
|
|
|
|
sented for payment undetached from the bond, and shall be cut
|

|
off therefrom at the time of payment by the treasurer or other
|
|
|
|
duly accredited financial agent of the county; and if detached
|
|
|
|
from the bond prior to maturity or otherwise than by such treas-
|
|
|
|
urer or agent, they shall thereupon become and be forever invalid
and of no obligation whatsoever.
|
|
|
|
SEC. 9. And be it enacted, That all acts and parts of acts in-
|
|
|
|
consistent with the provisions of this act be and the same are
|

|
hereby repealed.
|
|
|
|
SEC. 10. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect from

vide for their support in some suitable institution within the
|
|
|
|
State."

SECTION 1. Se it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
|
|
|
|
That chapter three hundred and fifty-two, of the acts of eighteen
|
|
|
|
hundred and sixty-eight, entitled an act to add an additional sec-
|
|
|
|
tion to article forty-two, of the Code of Public General Laws, em-
|
