CHAPTER 599.


AN ACT to provide for the transmission to the commissioner of


the land office of extracts from certain records in the office of


the clerk of the circuit court for Prince George's county.


WHEREAS, it has been made known to this General Assembly


of Maryland, that for a number of years, from eighteen hunared

and twenty-seven to the year eighteen hundred and forty-four,


and from eighteen hundred and forty-seven to eighteen hundred


and seventy-nine, excepting eighteen hundred and sixty-one and


eighteen hundred and sixty-two, there has been an omission on


the part of several of the former clerks for Prince George's county


to make out and send extracts of deeds to the clerk of the court


of appeals, as was provided for by sections fifty-four and fifty-five,


of article eighteen, of the Code of Public General Laws; and,


WHEREAS, it is important that such extracts of the deeds re-
