cases, and in all proceedings in any court or elsewhere connected


with any authority exercised under this act, all accounts or other


papers may be signed and sworn to on behalf of said corporation


by any officer thereof, and the said corporation may plead or


answer in any court of law or equity in this State by attorney

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That whenever this company shall


receive and accept any trusts whatever, or become the depository


of moneys or valuables of any kind as provided for by the next


succeeding section of this act, the capital stock, property and

security required by law for the faithful performance of its duties


as aforesaid, to the extent of its capital stock, surplus and


guarantee funds; provided, the said court shall not deem it


necessary to require further security, and shall be absolutely liable


in case of any default whatsoever, and in case of the insolvency


of this company, or of its dissolution by any court or otherwise,


the debt due from it in the execution of any such trust as deposi-


tory shall have preference.


SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That any and every court of this


State may by decree or order direct any moneys or properties


under its control, or that may be paid into court by parties to any


legal or other proceedings, or which may be brought into court


by reason of any order or judgment to be deposited with this


company upon such terms and subject to such instructions as

public officer or municipal corporation having control of any


bonds, stocks, securities, moneys or other valuables belonging to
