CHAPTER 492.


AN ACT to add an additional section to article twenty-seven, of


the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title ''Crimes


and Punishments," designated "two hundred and eighty-eight

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,

eight A," be added to article twenty-seven, of the Code of Public


General Laws of Maryland, title "Crimes and Punishments," to


follow after section two hundred and eighty-eight, and to read as


follows :


288 A. In any indictment for the unlawful sale or disposition


of spirituous or fermented liquor or lager beer, it shall not be

necessary to specify the particular variety, provided the indict-
ment sets forth an unlawful sale or disposition of intoxicating


liquor, but the defendant, on application to the State's attorney


before trial, may obtain a statement of the particular variety of


liquor expected to be proved.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect from


the date of its passage.
