CHAPTER 492.
|

|

AN ACT to add an additional section to article twenty-seven, of
|
|
|
|
the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title ''Crimes
|
|
|
|
and Punishments," designated "two hundred and eighty-eight
|
|
|
|
A."

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
|
|
|
To add.
|
That an additional section, designated "two hundred' and eighty-
|
|
|
|
eight A," be added to article twenty-seven, of the Code of Public
|
|
|
|
General Laws of Maryland, title "Crimes and Punishments," to
|
|
|
|
follow after section two hundred and eighty-eight, and to read as
|
|
|
|
follows :
|
|
|
|
288 A. In any indictment for the unlawful sale or disposition
|
|
|
|
of spirituous or fermented liquor or lager beer, it shall not be
|
|
|

necessary to specify the particular variety, provided the indict-
ment sets forth an unlawful sale or disposition of intoxicating
|
|
|
|
liquor, but the defendant, on application to the State's attorney
|
|
|
|
before trial, may obtain a statement of the particular variety of
|
|
|
|
liquor expected to be proved.
|
|
|
Effective.
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect from
|
|
|
|
the date of its passage.
|
|
|
|

AN ACT to give and grant the sanction of the General Assembly
|
|
|
|
of Maryland to sundry gifts, grants, sales, leases, devises and
|
|
|
|
bequests of various persons in this State, to or for the use of
|
|
|
|
sundry religions sects, orders and denominations therein named,
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
|
|
|
|
That the sanction and consent of the general assembly be and is
|
|
|

hereby granted and given to the following gifts, grants, sales,

leases, devises and bequests, to or for the use of the several relig-
|

ions sects, orders and denominations hereinafter set forth, viz :

First. To the bequest contained in the last will and testament

|

of Thomas C. Bosley, deceased, to the methodist preachers' aid
|
|
|
|
society of Baltimore, and to the bequest contained in the last will
|
|
|
|
and testament of Samuel Gamble, deceased, to the same society.
|
|
|
|
Second. To the bequest of one thousand dollars contained in
|
|
|

the last will and testament of Hertz Oppenheimer, late of Balti-

|
|
|
more city, deceased, to the Hebrew chizack amuno congregation
|
|
|
|
of Baltimore city, State of Maryland, therein named "Chesak
