ratification, and thereupon, there shall be the like proceedings as


are provided for by the Code of Public General Laws, article sixty-


six, title " Mortgages," and such court shall pass such orders or


decrees touching such sale and the distribution of the proceeds


thereof as may be right with the same right of appeal to all the


parties to said proceedings as is now allowed by law, and the faith


of the State is hereby pledged that the General Assembly shall


ratify and confirm any sale that may be made under this section


which shall be finally ratified and confirmed by the court.


SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That the principal office of said

AN ACT to repeal and to re-enact Avith an amendment section


fifteen, of article forty-one, of the Code of Public General Laws,


title "Governor."


SECTION 1. Be it enacted ly the General Assembly of Maryland,


That section fifteen, of article forty-one, of the Code of Public

llepeal.

General Laws, title "Governor," be and the same is hereby re-


pealed and re-enacted with an amendment so as to read as follows :


15. The governor upon receiving the returns of election for


electors to choose a president and vice-president of the United


States and for members to represent this State in the congress of

the United States, shall enumerate and ascertain the number of


votes given for each person voted for as an elector and member of


congress respectively, and shall thereupon declare by proclama-


tion signed by him, the name or names of the person or persons


duly elected, and shall cause such proclamation to be inserted in


such newspapers as he may direct.
