SEC. 412. No license to sell spirituous and fermented liquors
|
|
|
|
in Cecil county shall be granted to any hotel keeper who shall
|
|
|
|
have complied with the provisions of this act, until such appli-
|
|
|
|
cant shall pay to the clerk aforesaid the sum of two hundred and
|
|
|
|
fifty dollars, if said applicant shall desire a license to sell spiritu-
|
|
|
|
ous or fermented liquors in any incorporated town in said county,

or within two miles of the corporate limits thereof, and the sum
|
|
|
|
of one hundred and fifty dollars if said applicant shall desire to
|
|
|
|
sell spirituous or fermented liquors in said county not within the
|
|
|
|
limits nor within two miles thereof of any incorporated town
|
|
|
|
therein; and the said amounts received by said clerk for licenses
|
|
|
|
as aforesaid, shall be by him paid over to the county commis-
|
|
|
|
sioners of said county for the use of said county.
|
|
|
|
SEC. 413. No license to sell spirituous or fermented liquors in
|
|
|
|
Cecil county shall be granted to any applicant other than a hotel
|
|
|
|
keeper within the meaning of this act, who shall have complied
|

amounts so received by said clerk for said licenses to be paid over

SEC. 414. All sums received by said clerk for licenses issued
|
|
|
|
under this act shall be accounted for and paid over by said clerk
|
|
|
|
to the county commissioners of Cecil county within thirty days

after the receipt of the same, and the official bond of said clerk

shall be liable for all said sums received for licenses issued

|
|
under this act, and said clerk shall be entitled to charge and re-

ceive the sum of two dollars and fifty cents for each license issued

|
by him under the provisions of this act, to be paid by the appli-

|
|
cant therefor.

|
|
SEC. 415. All licenses issued under this act shall expire on the
|

|
|
first day of May next thereafter, but licenses may be issued for a
|
|
|
|
shorter period than one year upon the payment of a proportionate
part of the license fee hereinbefore provided for; licenses issued

duly establish his qualifications for the sale of spirituous and

fermented liquors as though an original applicant for license
|

therefor under the provisions of this act.

|
|
SEC. 416. No pharmacist or druggist in Cecil county shall sell
|
|
|
|
directly or indirectly any spirituous or fermented liquors or alco-
|
|
|
|
holic bitters or intoxicating drinks of any kind, except upon the
|
|
|
|
written bona fide prescription of a regular practicing physician of
Cecil county, whose name shall be signed thereto, and all such
|

prescriptions shall be filed and kept by such pharmacist or drug-
|
|
|
|
gist for one year, and no prescription shall answer for more than
|
|
|
|
one purchase, and no physician shall make or sign any such pre-
|
