handwriting, general indexes in the names of both plaintiffs and


defendants of all judgments recovered in said court from the year


eighteen hundred and seventy-seven to eighteen hundred and


eighty-nine, both inclusive, and of all equity cases docketed in


said court from the year eighteen hundred and fifty to eighteen ;

CHAPTER 428.


AN ACT to repeal section fifty-seven, of the local laws of Wicomico


county, being article twenty-three, of the Code of Public Local


Laws, respecting the jurisdiction of justices of the peace in mis-


demeanors and felonies, and to amend and re-enact the same as


amended.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,


That section fifty-seven, of article twenty-three, of the Code of


Public Local Laws, being the local laws for Wicomico county,

SEC. 57. The several justices of the peace of Wicomico county


shall have, in addition to the jurisdiction which they now possess,


and which may be conferred upon them by or under the laws of
