provisions of this act, "The board of school commissioners of


Queen Anne's county" aforesaid, shall establish and maintain a


high school in the said town of Centreville, and in and for the


third election district of said county, purchasing or otherwise


obtaining a site therefor and erecting a proper high school build-


ing thereon.


SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said body corporate "The


trustees of the Centreville academy of Queen Anne's county," be


and it is hereby further authorized and empowered by an assign-


ment executed in duplicate, one copy thereof to be held by the


board of school commissioners of Queen Anne's county aforesaid,


and one copy to be filed in the office of the comptroller of the


treasury of the State of Maryland, to transfer and assign unto


the "Board of school commissioners of Queen Anne's county"


aforesaid, any and every right, title, claim or demand, of, in, to


or out of any moneys, funds, donations or appropriations that the

Moneys,

said body corporate "The trustees of the Centreville academy of

funds, &c.

Queen Anne's county," may now at hereafter have or be entitled


to under or by virtue of any resolutions or acts of said General


Assembly, now or hereafter in force or operative, or in any other


manner whatsoever, and said assignment shall vest in said assignee


any and every right, title, claim or demand to said moneys, funds,


donations or appropriations that said assignor may or might have
or be entitled to without this act, and so far as necessary to obtain


same; the warrants of said comptroller on the treasurer of this


State shall be drawn in favor of said assignee therefor as same


become due and payable, and same shall be duly paid to said


assignee and used to the extent thereof in the maintenance of


said high school, and the said assignee shall furnish books to the


same number of scholars in said high school that the said assignor


is now required by law to do in said .academy.


SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect from

AN ACT to repeal section one hundred and fifty-five, of the Code


of Public Local Laws of the State of Maryland, entitled " Car-


roll county," sub-title "Taneytown," and re-enact the same so


as to read as follows :


SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,


That section one hundred and fifty-five, of the Code of Public
