all deeds shall be in the name of the "Baltimore humane impar-

tial society and aged women's and aged men's home," and be

signed by the president of the trustees or by a majority of the

trustees; the trustees shall also be entitled to the privileges of

members of the society and may attend the annual meeting; they
|

shall give advice and counsel upon such other matters as the
|
|
|

managers may request of them from time to time.

SEC. 9. And be it enacted, That all property of every kind shall

CHAPTER 291.
|
|
|
|
AN ACT to fix the compensation of the sheriff of Garrett county
|
|
|
|
for boarding prisoners confined in the jail of said county.
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
|
|
|

That the sheriff of Garrett county shall be allowed for keeping
|
|
|
prisoners
|
and boarding each prisoner committed to the jail of said county
|
|
|
|
the sum of forty cents per day to be levied by the county com-
|
|
|
|
missioners at their annual levy of taxes for said county.
|
|
|
Repealed.
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all acts or parts of acts in con-
|
|
|
|
flict with the provisions of this act be and the same are hereby
|
|
|
|
repealed so far as the same relate to Garrett county.
|
|
|
Effective.
|
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect from
|
|
|
|
the date of its passage.
