said town, to be placed and properly erected in the
tall tower of the court house in said town ; provided,


however, that the said town commissioners shall not


appropriate a greater sum of money than five hun-
dred dollars for the purchase of the said town clock,


the said sum to be levied upon the assessable prop-


erty within the corporate limits of the said town as


other expenses of the town are provided for.

Effective.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall


take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 476.


AN ACT to authorize Lemuel Malone, of Wico-


mico county, to settle his account as guardian to


Charles S. E. Crosby, of said county, and to de-


liver over the estate to said ward.


SECTION 1. Be it enacted ty the General Assem-


bly of Maryland, That Lemuel Malone, of Wico-


mico county, guardian of Charles S. E. Crosby, of


said county, minor, be and he is hereby authorized


to pass his final account as guardian aforesaid be-

fore the Orphans' Court of Wicomico county, and

to pass final

to pay over and deliver to the said Charles S. E.

account.

Crosby all his property, both real and personal, and


all money that may be due to him on the said final


account, and to take his receipt for the same, which


shall be acknowledged and recorded in the office of


the register of wills for said county, and have the


same effect as if the same was executed by a person


of full age.


SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Charles

and may sue and be sued as fully as if he were a
