SEC. 4. Be it enacted, That to redeem said bonds

|
|
|
the Mayor and Council of Hagerstown shall annually
|
|
|
|
|
levy upon the assessable property of said town a tax
sufficient to pay the interest thereon and the prin-
|

cipal of such portion as may mature in each and

|
|
|
|
every year after the date of their issue, and said
|
|
|
|
|
levy shall be known as the " Bonded Debt Fund."

SEC. 5. Be it enacted, That the said Mayor and

|
Council shall cause to be kept and preserved a care-
|
|
|
|
|
ful register of the bonds so called in, which they are

hereby directed to cancel immediately, and to keep

|
a careful register of the bonds so issued, including

|
|
therein the number of the bond, the person to whom
|

versus John N. Graves from St. Mary's county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
|
|
|
|
|
bly of Maryland, That the Comptroller of the Treas-
ury be and he is hereby authorized and directed to
|
|
|
|
|
issue his warrant on the treasurer for such sum of
|
|
|
|
|
money, not exceeding six hundred dollars, in all, as
|
|
|
|
|
may be audited and recommended by the chairman
|

of the Committee on Elections of the House of Del-

rant
|
|
|
|
egates, for the costs and expenses growing out of the
|
|
|
|
|
contested election case of Ignatius E. Mattingly

that said sum shall be paid out of the appropriation
for Legislative expenses, provided the whole amount
|
|
|
|
|
of counsel fees shall not exceed four hundred dollars.
