CHAPTER 269.

AN ACT to change the name of Fell's Point Lodge,
|
|
|
|
number forty-four, of the Independent Order of
|
|
|
|
Odd Fellows, to Thomas Wildey Lodge, number
|
|
|
|
forty-four, of the Independent Order of Odd Fel-
|
|
|
|
lows ; to extend the charter of said lodge under
|
|
|
|
the latter name ; to make valid the acts of said
|
|
|
|
lodge, and authorize it to hold property in the
|
|
|
|
name of Thomas Wildey Lodge, number forty-four,
|
|
|
|
of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows.
|
|
|
|
WHEREAS Fell's Point Lodge, number forty-four,
|
|
|
|
of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, was duly
|
|
|
|
incorporated by an act of the General Assembly of
|
|
|
|
Maryland, passed at December session, eighteen
|
|
|
|
hundred and forty-six, chapter two hundred and
|
|
|
|
fifty-five ; and whereas by an act of the General As-
|
|
|
|
sembly of Maryland, passed at December session,
|

|
eighteen hundred and sixty-one, chapter one hun-
|
|
|
|
dred and twenty-seven, said body corporate was au-
|
|
|
|
thorized to assume and use the name of Thomas
|
|
|
|
Wildey Lodge, number forty-four, of the Indepen-
|
|
|
|
dent Order of Odd Fellows, provided said body
|
|
|
|
corporate should accept the provisions of said last
|
|
|
|
mentioned act within the time and in the manner
|
|
|
|
therein required, which it was unable to do for want
|
|
|
|
of time.
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
|
|
|
|
bly of Maryland, That the name of Fell's Point
|
Change of
|
|
|
Lodge, number forty-four, of the Independent Order
|
name.
|
|
|
of Odd Fellows, incorporated by the General As-
|
|
|
|
sembly of Maryland at its December session, eigh-
|
|
|
|
teen hundred and forty-six, chapter two hundred
|
|
|
|
and fifty-five, be and the same is hereby changed to
|
|
|
|
Thomas Wildey Lodge, number forty-four, of the
|
|
|
|
Independent Order of Odd-Fellows, and that the
|
|
|
|
charter of said lodge be and the same is hereby ex-
|

tended and continued in force for the period of thirty

years from the date of its expiration, and until the
|
|
|
|
close of the session of the General Assembly of Ma-
|
|
|
|
ryland held next thereafter, by and in the name of
