AN ACT to amend section eighty of chapter four
|
|
|
|
hundred and seventy-one of the acts of eighteen
|
|
|
|
hundred and sixty-eight, entitled "An act to re-
|
|
|
|
peal article twenty-six of the Code of Public Gen-
|
|
|
|
eral Laws," and to enact a substitute therefor,
|
|
|
|
and to repeal section twenty-two of article sixteen,
|
|
|
|
sections ninety-nine to one hundred and three of
|
|
|
|
the same article, and sections thirty-three to forty-
|
|
|
|
three of article eighty-eight of the Code of Pub-
|
|
|
|
lic General Laws," relating to cemetery companies.

|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
|
|
|
|
bly of Maryland, That section eighty of chapter four
|
|
|
|
hundred and seventy-one of the acts of eighteen
|
|
|

re-enacted.

|
|
|
|
is hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read a&
|
|
|

follows :

80. No lanes, alleys, streets, roads, canals or pub-

tion to obstruct any public road, street or lane ac-

tually opened and used as such at the time of its in-
|
|
|
|
corporation, or then laid down on any plat made by
|
|
|
|
authority of the State or city, town or county, to be
|
|
|
|
opened as a street or road ; provided that no ceme-
|
|
|
|
tery company, incorporated under the provisions of
|
|
|
|
this article, shall establish, have or maintain, for the
|
|
|
|
purpose of burial, any ground within the distance of
|
|
|
|
one thousand yards from any boundary line of Druid
|
|
|
|
Hill Park, nor permit any interment therein, nor
|
|
|
|
shall any funeral or burial procession to or from any
|
|
|
|
cemetery incorporated under the provisions of this
|
|
|
