SEC. 16. And be it enacted, That as soon as the
|
|
|

tolls collected and received by said company shall
|
|
|
|
equal in amount the amount laid out and expended
|
|
|
|
by said company in the construction and maintain-
|
|
|
|
ance of said turnpike, with interest thereon at the
|
|
|
|
rate of six per centum per annum, including the
|
|
|
|
amounts paid annually to toll gatherers, then this
|

charter shall cease and determine, and the said road
|
cease.
|
|
|
shall become a public road, to be supported by the
|
|
|
|
county ; and the County Commissioners of Baltimore
|
|
|
|
county shall take charge of and maintain the same
|

|

as other public roads are maintained, without charge
|
|
|
|
of toll thereon.
|
|
|
|
SEC. 17. And be it enacted, That the said com-
|
|
|
|
pany shall keep an account of all sums of money
|
|
|
|
expended in the construction and maintenance of
|

AN ACT to dispose of the road tax of Prince

|
|
|
George's county.
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
|
|
|
|
of Maryland, That the County Commissioners of
|

Prince George's county shall set apart two-thirds of
|

the road tax of said county as a special road and
bridge fund, which shall be for the use and benefit of

Prince Geor-
ge's county.

no other purpose, and shall set apart the remaining

one-third of said road tax as a general road and bridge
|
|
|

fund, which shall be applied by the said county
