	giving a new bond, he was advised that his office
	was vacant, which was a mistake under the act of
	eighteen hundred and sixty-seven, chapter three hun-
	dred and fourteen, he being entitled to ninety days	Preamble.
	after the first day of January to give such bond ; and
	whereas, under the false impression that his office
	was vacant, upon application to his Excellency, Gov-
	ernor John Lee Carroll, he appointed him and com-
	missioned him anew as Sheriff of Somerset county,
	and the said Coulborne paid the sum of forty dollars
	for said commission ; therefore,
	SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-
	bly of Maryland, That the Treasurer of Maryland
	refund to and pay William Coulborne, of Isaac, the	Refund mon-
	sum of forty dollars, paid for his commission as	ey paid in
	Sheriff of Somerset county under an appointment	mistake.
	which was unnecessary and made in mistake of the
	existing law.
	SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take	Effective.
	effect from the date of its passage.

	AN ACT to repeal section four, chapter one hun-
	dred and seventy-five, of the acts passed at the
	January session, eighteen hundred and seventy-
	six, entitled "An act to incorporate the purchasers
	of Queen Anne's and Kent Railroad Company,"
	and to re-enact the same with amendments.
	SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assem-	Repealed and
	bly of Maryland, That section four, chapter one hundred and seventy-five, of the acts passed at the	re-enacted with amend- ments.
