the manner prescribed by the general election law. The can-
vassing boards for the several counties and for the city of Bal-
timore shall certify the vote on the question of calling a
constitutional convention to the governor, the secretary of
State and the State treasurer; and the board of State can-
vassers shall at the time of their meeting to make a statement
of the vote cast for the candidates voted for at that election,
also make a statement of the vote cast on the question of calling
a constitutional convention, and shall transmit the same to the
governor, and the governor shall, after receiving said state-
ment, make a proclamation of the result of the vote on the
question of calling a constitutional convention.

162. The sheriffs of the several counties and the sheriff of
Baltimore city shall give notice in the same manner and for the
same time as they are required to give notice of the election of
members of the general assembly that the question of calling
a constitutional convention will be submitted to the voters.
