34 CRIMES AND PUNISHMENTS. [ART. 27.

attempts to open any vault, safe or other secure place by use
of nitro-glycerine, dynamite, gunpowder or any other explosive,
shall be deemed guilty of burglary with explosives; and any
person duly convicted of burglary with explosives shall be
sentenced to the penitentiary, in the discretion of the court,
for a period of not more than twenty years.

Crabs—Hard Shell. Season for Catching.

1906. ch. 148.

56 A. It shall be unlawful for any person to take, catch or
gather hard shell crabs in any of the waters of the State of
Maryland between the first day of November and the first day
of May next succeeding in each and every year.

56 B. A person violating the preceding section shall be
deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof
before any justice of the peace shall be fined in a sum of not
less than ten dollars nor more than twenty-five dollars, or be
confined in the county jail of the county in which said offense
was committed for not more than three months, or be both
fined and imprisoned, in the discretion of the justice of the
peace or the court trying the same.

56 C. It shall be the duty of the State fishery force and all
officers of the law to assist in the enforcement of the two preced-
ing sections.

56 D. In all prosecutions arising under said section wherein
a fine or fines shall be collected, one-half of said fine or fines
shall go the informer; provided, said informer is not an officer
of the State fishery force or any other officer of the law.
