ARTICLE LXII.

MARRIAGE.

5. Examination on oath of applicant for license; facts to be ascertained;
printed form of statement.

1906, ch. 766.

5. Before the clerk of any of the courts aforesaid shall
issue any license, he shall examine on oath the person making
application for same, to ascertain, first, the full name of the
parties; second, their place of residence; third, their age;
fourth, their color; fifth, whether married or single; sixth,
whether related or not, if so, in what degree of relationship;
seventh, if ever divorced; which facts shall be set out in printed
form, to be signed by the person making the application.

54 A. Medals for service during Spanish-American war.

Rewards.

1906, ch. 530.

54 A. In order to reward those members of the Maryland
national guard who volunteered for service in the Spanish-
American war, the commander-in-chief shall have power under
regulations to be prescribed by him to issue medals of appro-
priate designs to officers and enlisted men of the Maryland
national guard who served in either land or naval forces fur-
nished by Maryland during the Spanish-American war.
