pay the expenses hereinbefore mentioned; before the comp-
troller shall issue said warrant there shall be presented to him
with an itemized bill of the undertaker, a certificate of death,
stating the name and age of the deceased, together with the
cause of death, if the deceased was buried in Baltimore city,
and if the deceased was buried in one of the counties of the
State then a certificate of the county commissioner living
nearest the place where the deceased shall have lived, or the
certificate of a health officer; said certificate also to bear the
endorsement of the commander of the department of Maryland
grand army of the republic or of the commander of Maryland
division united confederate veterans as to the service of the
deceased.

10. In no case shall the expense of interment be paid where
the deceased is buried in a cemetery or county plot used
exclusively for interment of paupers or public charges.

11. The sum of fifteen hundred dollars or so much thereof
as may be necessary is hereby appropriated for the fiscal year
1904, and the like sum of fifteen hundred dollars, or so much
thereof as may be necessary for the fiscal year 1905, for the
objects above mentioned.

ARTICLE LXXXIX.

STATISTICS AND INFORMATION AS TO BRANCHES
OF INDUSTRY,

Arbitration of Labor Disputes.

1. Industrial bureau to be estab-
lished. "Chief of the indus-
trial bureau" to be appointed.
2. Duty of such officer as regards
labor, agriculture, minerals,
transportation. All officers,
of the State to transmit to
the said officer all reports as
soon as published. Publica-
tion of said information in a
book to be annually revised.
"Free State employment
agency." Appropriation for
these purposes.

Arbitration of Labor Disputes.

3. Chief of industrial bureau to
mediate between parties.
4. Board of arbitration; formation
of.
5. Summoning of witnesses, etc
6. Agreements shall be valid.
7. Cleik to board, his compensa-
tion.
8 and 9. Power and authority of
chief in investigating and de-
termining causes of dispute.
10. Information of a personal char-
