1456 LICENSES—LIMITATION OF ACTIONS. [ARTS. 56 & 57

of the payment of any of the above fines there shall be
imposed an imprisonment in the county jail for a period not
exceeding thirty days; provided, that any offender who shall
have been guilty of a violation of this sub-title and sentenced
therefor, and who shall be convicted of a second offense of the
same violation, may for such second offense be fined in double
the amount herein prescribed for the first offense, or may be
punished by imprisonment in the county jail for a period not
exceeding three months.

140. Whenever the term "motor vehicle" is used in this
sub-title it shall be construed to include automobiles, locomobiles
and all other vehicles propelled otherwise than by muscular
power, except the cars of electric and steam railways and other
motor vehicles running upon rails or tracks; but nothing in this
sub-title contained shall be. construed to apply to or affect
bicycles, tricycles or such other vehicles as are propelled exclu-
sively by muscular power. This sub-title shall not apply to the
vehicles known as motorcycles, but shall apply only to those
mechanically-propelled vehicles having more than two wheels.

ARTICLE LVII.

LIMITATION

1. Actions other than those upon
specialties; to what accounts
section not applicable.
2. Actions by persons under disa-
bility of infancy or insanity ;
when to be brought after re-
moval of disability.
3. Actions upon judgments, bonds
or other specialties not to be
brought when debt is above
twelve years' standing.
Proviso. Payment of interest.
Saving clause.
4 Persons leaving the State or
moving from county to county.
5. Persons absent when cause of
action arose
6. Actions on sheriffs', coroners'
or constables' bonds; when to
be brought. Saving in favor

parties imprisoned or beyond
seas, or out of jurisdiction.
8. Suspension of operation in case
of death of party indebted.
9. Time pending petition in insol-
vency.

10. Limitations in bar of patents by
State.
11. Prosecution or suit for fine; pen-
alty, forfeiture or misde-
meanor.

12. For blasphemy, sabbath break-
ing, drunkenness.
13. For fees of attorneys, solicitors,
clerks, registers, sheriffs, con-
stables, and other officers.
14. Ignorance of cause of action,
induced by fraud of adverse
