LIBRARIAN—STATE.

1. Oath.

1. The State librarian shall take and subscribe before the
governor the oath prescribed by the constitution.

2. He shall give bond to the State in such sum and with
such security as the committees of the senate and house of
delegates on the library approve, for the safe-keeping of the
books, maps, documents and furniture of the library and for
the faithful discharge of his trust, according to such regula-
tions as shall from time to time be established as herein
directed; which bond shall be deposited in the executive
chamber.

3. In case of the death, disqualification, resignation or
removal from the State of the librarian during the recess of
the general assembly, the governor shall fill the vacancy; and
the person so appointed shall continue in office until the next
meeting of the general assembly, giving bond and security as
aforesaid, to be approved by the governor.
