under the direction of the judge or judges of said courts for
the augmentation of the libraries of said courts. This section
not to apply to Montgomery, Queen Anne's, Caroline, Cecil,
Anne Arundel, Talbot and Worcester counties and Baltimore
city.

ARTICLE XXXIX.

FISH AND FISHERIES.

Head of the Bay.

1. Time for catching herring and
shad with gill-nets; forfeiture.
2. Hauling seine or drag-net, when
prohibited.
3. Penalty for violating section 2
4. Imprisonment if fine be not
paid; appeal.
5. Placing of stakes or poles pro-
hibited.
6. Penalty.
7. Vessels not to be anchored in
any fishery, when.
8. Penalty.
9 Master, owner and vessel liable.

to interfere with shore fishing ;
