that a warrant should be dispensed with; and all courts or
officers executing any process or acting under the provisions of

6B. Each local register shall be empowered, with the advice
and consent of the board of health, to designate competent
persons to the number of not more than two in each election
district, who shall act as sub-registers, and shall within the dis-
trict for which they are appointed issue burial permits and per-
form such other services under this sub-title as the local board of
health may direct during the term for which the appointing
register was appointed.
