if he be elected for said city, with the condition that he shall
well and faithfully execute the office of sheriff of ——— county
or the city of Baltimore, in all things appertaining thereto, and
shall well and truly perform all the duties required by law to be
by him performed; provided that the sheriffs elected for Harford
and Calvert counties shall be required to give bonds in the penalty
of ten thousand dollars, and for no greater sum.

ARTICLE XCII.

TERRAPINS—DIAMOND BACK.

1. Unlawful to catch or have in
possession between first April
and first November, excepted
counties.
2. None to be 'taken less than five
inches in length on the bottom
shell. Worcester county ex-
cepted.
3. Unlawful to destroy terrapin
eggs.

4. Bona fide residents of State only
may catch
5 Penalty for violating preceding
sections.
6 Possession to be conclusive evi-
dence of violation.
7. Constables, game wardens and
officers of State fishery force
shall arrest offenders on infor-
mation.
8 Saving as to prior offenses.

1900, ch. 435.

1. It shall be unlawful for any person to take or catch or have
in possession in this State any terrapin between the first day of
April and the first day of November in each year; the term
terrapin to apply to those known as diamond back or salt-water
terrapin, skilpot and sliders. This section shall not apply to
Worcester, Dorchester, Calvert, Charles and St. Mary's counties.

State any terrapin of a less size than five inches in length on the
bottom shell. This section not to apply to Worcester county.
