926 CHARLES COUNTY. [ART. 9.

ceived by the collectors in payment of county taxes; and the

county commissioners shall, from time to time, levy in advance
upon the assessable property of said county such sums as may be
necessary for the prompt payment of the semi-annual interest due
on said bonds, and also for the payment of the principal thereof
when the same may become due, or when they desire to redeem
the same; all money levied for the payment of the principal and
interest of the same shall be levied for the use of said treasurer;
and any collector failing to pay over the said sums so levied prior
to the time when the same may be demandable by the said treas-
urer, may be proceeded against in accordance with the provisions
of the preceding section, and be subject to its provisions and
penalties.

57. Article 28 of the code of public general laws, entitled

"Crows," shall not relate or apply to Charles, Calvert, Carroll,
Caroline, Frederick, Garrett, Harford, Montgomery, Prince
George's, Queen Anne's, Talbot, Allegany, Baltimore and Dor-
chester counties.

CRUELTY TO ANIMALS.

1880, ch. 129.

58. The provisions of sections 241 to 245, of article 4, of the
public local laws, title "City of Baltimore," relating to " Cruelty
to Animals," shall apply to Charles county as fully as if repeated
in this article.

ELECTION DISTRICTS.
1868, ch. 188.

59. Charles county shall be divided into nine election districts,
according to their present bounds and limits, in each of which
districts elections shall be held at the place which may be estab-
lished therein for that purposes.

1870, ch. 264.

60. The county commissioners shall have power, upon the
petition of any voter of said county interested in a change of the
division lines between the several election districts of the county,
