660 CAROLINE COUNTY. [ART. 6.

1884, ch. 367.

102. They may, in their discretion, exempt and release from
assessment or taxation any or all machinery, plant and prop-
erty used in manufacturing, for a period not exceeding five years,
by agreement or otherwise.

103. The interests and rights of the said corporation and the-
members of Temple lodge, No. 128, Ancient Free and Accepted
Masons, now held in the market house and masonic hall, shall
remain in them as heretofore, or be disposed of and released by
them as has been or may hereafter be provided by law.

104. The county commissioners are authorized and directed
to pay to the commissioners of Denton, annually, not less than
fifty dollars nor more than two hundred dollars, as a consideration
for their attention to the public property and grounds, and the
improvement of the streets through said town used as public
highways, and levy for the same like other county charges.

105. Caroline, Carroll, Cecil, Calvert, Dorchester, Kent, Mont-
gomery, Prince George's, Queen Anne's, St. Mary's, Somerset,
Washington, "Worcester and Allegany counties, and Baltimore
city, and all cities, towns or burroughs in which dogs are taxed
by municipal ordinance, are exempted from the operation of sec-
tions 157-162 of article 81 of the code of public general laws, title
"Revenue and Taxes," relating to the taxation of dogs in this.

DOVER BRIDGE.
1865, ch. 128.

106. The inhabitants of Caroline county shall have the privi-
lege of passing over Dover bridge, being the bridge across Chop-
tank river at Dover ferry, with their vehicles, carriages, wagons,
carts, horses, mules, oxen, cattle, sheep, hogs, and all other
property, free from toll or exaction of any kind.
