HUCKSTERS.

1867, ch. 272.

166. It shall not be lawful for any person or persons, not

permanent residents of this State, to come into Allegany, Washing-
ton or Harford counties for the purpose of carrying on the busi-
ness of huckstering by gathering butter, eggs, poultry, etc., with
but having first obtained from the clerk of the circuit court for
such county a license therefor.

167. For any and every license thus, granted, the said clerk
shall demand and be entitled to receive as follows: for a license
to employ not more than one team of not less than three horses
or mules, the sum of eighty dollars; for a license to employ not
more than one team of not more than two horses or mules, the
sum of sixty dollars; for a license to employ not more than one
team of more than one horse or mule, the sum of forty dollars.

168. Any person or persons violating the provisions of section
166, upon conviction thereof, shall be subject to a fine of fifty

dollars, which fine shall be collectible as small debts are now
collected, one-half to the informer and the other half to be

INSANE ASYLUM.

1880, ch. 267.

169. The county commissioners are authorized to build

and maintain an insane asylum in said county for the safe keep-
ing and treatment of insane paupers necessary to be maintained
at the expense of the county, and of any other insane persons
who may be received therein by order of said commissioners.
