good condition and repair to the distance of one mile from their
respective incorporated limits; and to enable them to accomplish
the same, they are authorized to accept and apply the provisions
of this sub-title of this article to persons residing within the
limits of their respective corporations.

235. Worcester, Howard, Caroline, Cecil, Dorchester and
Wicomico counties are exempted from the provisions of sections
1 and 2, of article 86 of the code of public general laws, title
"Sheep."
SHERIFF.

236. The sheriff of "Worcester county shall be entitled to
receive the sum of forty cents per day for keeping and boarding
each prisoner committed to the county jail.
SNOW HILL.
1878, ch 443.
237. The inhabitants of the town of Snow Hill, in Worcester
county, are constituted a body corporate, by the name of " The
Commissioners of Snow Hill," and by that name may sue and be
sued, have and use a common seal, and have perpetual succession.

238. The bounds and limits of the said town are as follows,
to wit: beginning at a point on the Pocomoke river, north forty-
six degrees west from the north corner of a bridge in the county
road leading to Newark, said bridge being north twenty and one-
half degrees east from the west corner of the residence of James
Burroughs, and being over a ditch called the Tax ditch; thence
south forty-six degrees east to the west corner of said bridge;
thence by and with the said west side of said bridge and the
southwest bank of the ditch aforesaid, to the northwest corner of
a bridge in the county road, leading to the public landing; thence
with the west side of said bridge and the west bank of the said
Tax ditch, to the south corner of a lane commonly called the
Collins' lane; thence with the north side of said lane, south sixty-
