title of this article, for their use, and he shall make a quarterly
return of the same to said commissioners in the same manner and
at the same time that he makes return for moneys paid for the
use of the State; and if he shall fail to pay over the same within
thirty days after said return, his bond may be put in suit by the
said school commissioners to recover the same.

OYSTERS.

1880, ch 78.

78. It shall not be lawful for any person to employ any canoe,
boat or other vessel, in catching or taking oysters with scoop,
scrape, drag or dredge, or any similar instruments, within the
waters of Wicomico county or Nanticoke river; nor shall any per-
son take or catch oysters within the waters of said county or
Nanticoke river, otherwise than with tongs, as restricted and regu-
lated by the provisions of article 72 of the code of public general

laws, title "Oysters."

79. For the protection of young oysters in the waters of Wi-
comico county and Nanticoke river, it shall not be lawful for any
person to take or catch oysters above a straight line drawn from
Sandy island on the west side of Nanticoke river, to Roaring
point on the east side of said river, between the fifteenth day of
April and the first day of October.

80. Any person violating the provisions of either of the two
preceding sections shall be fined in a sum not less than twenty-
five dollars nor more than two hundred dollars, or forfeit the
canoe, boat or vessel in his possession, together with the tackle
and apparel, and all things on board at the time of the offence;
and shall stand committed to jail until such fine shall be fully
paid and satisfied.

81. On information under oath of any violation of the pro-
visions of either of said sections, to any justice of the peace of Wi-
comico county, he shall forthwith issue his warrant to the sheriff,
or any constable, or military officer, or any commander or deputy
commander of the State fishery force of this State, requiring
either of them to whom it may be directed, to summon the posse
