2048 WICOMICO COUNTY. [ART. 23,

of money as may be necessary to pay the interest on the bonds
authorized to be issued by the act of 1886, chapter 102, and
redeem two of said bonds in each year until the whole number
are redeemed, and said tax shall be collected as other taxes are
collected in said county; and the said commissioners shall select
two of said bonds by lot, to be redeemed in each year, to be so
chosen at least six months before the time for redemption, and
give notice of the number of the bonds so selected at once, by
advertisement published in some newspaper printed in said county,
and interest shall cease on said bonds so chosen on the day ap-
pointed for their redemption.

19. They are authorized and empowered to borrow on negoti-
able notes, signed by the president of the board of commissioners
and the treasurer of said county, the sum of five thousand dollars,
or so much thereof as may be necessary to meet the residue of
indebtedness to Somerset county not otherwise provided for, and
to renew said notes from time to time, until necessary funds are
collected to meet them; and said notes and interest thereon are
made liens on the assessable property of Wicomico county until
paid.

CRUELTY TO ANIMALS.

20. The provisions of sections 241 to 245 of article 4 of the
public local laws, title " City of Baltimore," relating to " Cruelty
to Animals," shall apply to "Wicomico county as fully as if
repeated in this article.

DELMAR.

1888, ch. 167.

21. The inhabitants of the town of Delmar, in Wicomico
county, are created a body corporate by the name of "The Com-
missioners of Delmar," with all the powers and privileges of a
body politic and corporate, and by said corporate name may have
perpetual succession, sue and be sued, plead and be impleaded, in
any court of law or equity, and have and use a common seal and
