arrangements with the fire commissioners or mayor and city
council of Baltimore, for the use of the engines, fire apparatus,
and water of said city, in the extinguishment of fires in Balti-
more county.

96. No person shall destroy the fish in any branch or creek in
Baltimore county, by putting quick lime therein, under the
penalty of twenty dollars for each offence, to be recovered before
a justice of the peace of said county, one-half to the informer
and the other half to the use of the county.

1880, ch. 70.

97. It shall not be lawful for any person to take, capture or
destroy fish by seines, drag-nets, set-nets, dip-nets, stir-nets, fish
baskets or fish pots, eel weirs, brush or fascine nets, or by any means,
or contrivances whatever of the nature of a seine, which are
known to destroy or capture fish, or to destroy or capture them
by shooting or striking through the ice, or otherwise, than by
hook and line, commonly known as angling, in the Patapsco
river, above the point where the old turnpike road from Balti-
more to Washington crosses the said river.

1874, ch. 79.

98. Any person offending against the provisions of the pre-
ceding section, shall be liable, upon conviction thereof, by
summary process before any justice of the peace of this State,
in and for the county where the act is committed, to a penalty
of not less than ten nor more than thirty dollars, one-third to the
informer, one-third to the constable making the arrest, and the
balance to the treasurer of the board of county school commis-
sioners, for school purposes; provided, that any person so offend-
ing, on conviction thereof, as aforesaid, who shall refuse or fail
to pay said fine imposed, and the cost thereon, shall be imprisoned
in the jail of the county in which the act shall be committed,
for not less than ten nor more than twenty days.
