114. It shall not be lawful for any person to take, capture or
destroy fish in the waters of Talbot county, except as provided in
the succeeding section.

115. It shall be lawful to catch fish in the waters of said
county with gill-nets and hook and line at any time; and it shall
be lawful to take and catch fish with haul-seines, drag-nets,
fish-baskets, fish-pot weirs, pound nets and fykes, from the first
day of August to the twentieth day of May following; provided,
however, that the meshes in all seines are in the bar not less than
one and one-quarter inches.

116. Any person violating the provisions of the preceding
section shall, upon conviction thereof before any justice of the
peace of said county, for each and every offence be fined the sum
of twenty-five dollars, and stand committed to the county jail
until fine and costs are paid.

117. There shall be the following number of justices of the
peace and constables for Talbot county, to wit: for election
district number one, four justices of the peace and three consta-
bles ; for election district number two, four justices of the peace
and three constables; for election district number three, four jus-
tices of the peace and three constables; for election district num-
ber four, three justices of the peace and two constables; for elec-
tion district number five, three justices of the peace and two
constables.

118. The several justices of the peace of Talbot, Dorches-
ter, Montgomery, Prince George's, St. Mary's, Somerset, Howard,
Caroline, Kent, Charles, Calvert, Harford, Garrett, Washington,
Wicomico, Anne Arundel and Allegany counties, shall have, in ad-
dition to the jurisdiction which they now possess, and which may
