count of his tax; and unless the same be paid to the collector
within thirty days after such account shall be delivered, the col-
lector, may seize and sell the property assessed; or if the same be
goods and chattels, and cannot be found or conveniently sold,
may seize and sell any other of the goods and chattels, lands or
tenements of the person so refusing or neglecting to pay; and
the collector shall account with the commissioners for the amount
of the said assessment list, and all other sums of money collected
by him under their order, at or before the end of three months
from his receipt of the list of assessments.

66. The collector shall assess and value any assessable prop-
erty that he may find within the limits of the town unassessed by
the assessor at its worth in ready money, and collect the amount
of tax thereon, as if the same were inserted in the assessment list
aforesaid, and shall account for the same as directed in the pre-
ceding section.

67. The said commissioners shall, annually, on the first Mon-
day in May, or within ten days thereafter, appoint a treasurer,
who, before entering upon the duties of his office shall give bond
to the commissioners, with one good security, in such sum as they
shall require, with condition that he shall well and faithfully exe-
cute the office of treasurer of the board of commissioners of the
town of Easton, and perform the duties required of him by law
and the orders and ordinances of the said commissioners, and well
and truly account to them, without default or delay, when and as
often as he shall be required, for all sums of money paid into his
hands by them, or by their order, or by any of their officers.

68. The said treasurer shall keep an account of all money
that shall be received and paid away by him as treasurer, and
the said account shall be at all times open to the inspection of
the commissioners, or of any other person interested therein.
