public landings, and the purchase or bnilding of any joint public
bridge taken or made from said record, as hereinbefore certified

231. The sheriff of said county shall be entitled to eight per-
cent, for collecting and paying over officers' and attorneys' fees.
SOUTH EAST RIVER.

232. The branch of Chester river, now known as "South
East Creek," extending from said Chester river to Church Hill,
in Queen Anne's county, and upon which Beus Point wharf and
South East wharf are located, together with its tributaries, shall
hereafter be known as "South East River."
STEVENSVILLE.

233.' The citizens of the town of Stevensville, in Queen Anne's-
county, are a body corporate by the name of "The Commissioners
of Stevensville," and by that name may sue and be sued, and
may have and use a common seal.

234. The male citizens of the age of twenty-one years and1
upwards residing in the town of Stevensville, in Queen Anne's
county, or male citizens holding real property therein, shall elect
by ballot on the second Monday of April, annually, at some con-
venient place in said town, three persons residing in said town
as commissioners of Stevensville.

235. If any vacancy shall happen in the office of commis-
sioners by death, resignation, removal or otherwise, the remain-
ing commissioners shall cause an election to be held to supply
the same, and ten days' previous notice shall be given of such
election.
