8. The said trustees shall meet between the first and tenth
day of November, yearly, at the almshouse in said county, and
appoint a fit person to be overseer of the almshouse, and such
other proper officers and servants as they may deem necessary,
and they shall pay said overseer as salary a sum not exceeding
two hundred dollars per annum, and so pro rata during his con-
tinuance in office.

9. They shall require the said overseer to enter into bond,
with good and sufficient securities, payable to the said trustees,
in the penalty of five hundred dollars, for the faithful perfor-
mance of his duties.

10. They may remove said overseer and all other officers
appointed by them, at their pleasure, and appoint others in their
places.

11. They shall purchase and provide all necessary beds, bed-
ding, household and kitchen furniture, stock and fanning uten-
sils necessary for the support and furnishing of said almshouse
And the land thereto belonging.

12. They shall meet at the almshouse in said county four
times in the year, to wit: on the first week in January, May,
August and November, or oftener if it should be necessary, and
make, by a majority of votes of such as may be present, all such
ordinances and by-laws as they may think necessary for the
government and support of said almshouse, and for the mainte-
nance and employment of all poor persons therein, and of all
vagrants, beggars, vagabonds, and other offenders that shall be
Committed thereto.

13. They shall keep a regular account of all moneys expended
by them, and return a true copy thereof, with the vouchers
therefor, to the county commissioners, at their annual meeting
to make the county levy.
