1356 HARFORD COUNTY. [ART. 13.

twenty-one years; nor shall any person licensed under this sub-
title of this article employ any female or minor as a bartender,
agent or clerk, to sell, give or deliver spirituous or fermented
liquors, or intoxicating drinks of any kind or description, to pur-
chasers or others, at his place of business.

196. Any person licensed under this sub-title of this article,
and so employing any female or minor as set forth in the preced-
ing section, shall, upon indictment and conviction thereof, be
fined not less than fifty dollars nor more than three hundred dol-
lars, or be imprisoned in the county jail for not less than thirty
days nor more than three months, and the license of such person
may be suppressed in the discretion of the court.

197. It shall not be lawful for any person having license to
sell spirituous or fermented liquors in said city to permit any
game of chance or skill, for profit or amusement, to be played in
the bar room or other public room on the premises occupied by
him or under his control.

198. Any person who shall violate the provisions of the pre-
ceding section shall, upon indictment and conviction thereof, be
fined not less than twenty-five dollars nor more than fifty dollars
for each offence.

199. It shall not be lawful for any person licensed under this
sub-title of this article to sell or give away, directly or indirectly,
any spirituous or fermented liquors, or any kind of intoxicating
drink, to a minor or person under the age of twenty-one years,
nor to sell such liquors, or any of them, to any person on the
Sabbath day, commonly called Sunday.
