1326 HARFORD COUNTY. [ART. 13.

through said part, by stock belonging to the other joint owner of
the fence; and if he shall kill, maim or otherwise injure such
stock, he shall, upon conviction, pay to the owner thereof the
full value of such stock, with costs of suit.

97. In all other cases of trespass by stock, the party trespassed
upon shall be entitled to recover from the owner of the stock
trespassing, the amount of damages done by such trespass, as
other debts are now recovered; but if the party trespassed upon
shall kill, maim or otherwise wilfully injure the stock trespassing,
he shall forfeit his right to recover; but in case of prosecution
for such killing or maiming, he shall be entitled to prove the

amount of damage done by such stock in mitigation of damages
for the killing or maiming.

98. Each freeholder acting under the provisions of this sub-
title of this article, shall be entitled to two dollars per day for

each day he shall be so employed, one-half of which shall be
paid by each party interested.

FERTILIZERS.

1883, ch. 451.

99. Any person, company or corporation, who shall offer,
sell or expose for sale, in Harford county, any commercial fertil-
izer or bone dust, the price of which exceeds ten dollars a ton,
shall affix to every package, in a conspicuous place on the out-
side thereof, a plainly-marked certificate, stating the number of
net pounds in the package sold or offered for sale; the name or
trade-mark under which the article is sold; the name of the man-
ufacturer and the place of manufacture, and a chemical analysis
stating the percentage of nitrogen, or its equivalent in ammonia
in an available form of potash, soluble in water, and of phos-
phoric acid in an available form, (soluble or reverted,) as well as
the total phosphoric acid.
