124 ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY. [ART. 2,

inquest, shall include such sum for the physician as the said
coroner or justice and jurors shall deem just, not less than ten
dollars, nor more than one hundred dollars, which sum, together
with the other expenses of the inquest, shall be paid by the
county, and which may be decreased or increased, not beyond
the limitations herein expressed, by the county commissioners, so
as to fully compensate said physician for his services.

COUNTY COMMISSIONERS.

1876, ch. 266.

112. There shall be five county commissioners for Anne
Arundel county, who shall be required to meet in the office of
the board of county commissioners, in the city of Annapolis, on
the first Tuesday in each month, and as much oftener as the
public interest may require, and shall continue in session at least
two days during each session of the circuit court, and one week
at their meeting in January, for the purpose of making transfers.

1878, ch. 168.

113. The commissioners shall receive four dollars per day
each for every day they shall necessarily attend to the duties of
their office; and five cents per mile for each mile each way they
may have to travel to their place of meeting.

1874, ch. 485.

114. They shall be exempt from serving as jurors in any of
the courts of said county, and it shall not be lawful for the sheriff
to summon them as such.

115. They shall appoint a clerk, who shall hold his office for
two years from the date of his appointment, and until the quali-
fication of his successor. He shall be removable at the pleasure
of the county commissioners, and shall receive such salary as they
may determine.

116. He shall, before he enters upon the duties of his office,
execute a bond to the State of Maryland in the penalty of five
thousand dollars, to be approved by the county commissioners,
conditioned for the true and faithful performance of the duties
of his office, and the said bond shall be recorded in the office of
the clerk of the circuit court for said county.
