235. No person shall place any weir or hedge in the channel
or mouth of either of said rivers, so as in any manner to injure
the navigation thereof, under the penalty of ten dollars for every
such offence, to be recovered before a justice of the peace in the
some manner as small debts are recovered, one-half to the informer
or person who will sue for the same, the other half to the use of
the county.

236. All accounts for officers' fees shall be made out in a fair
and clear manner and in words at length; and whenever any
person interested in them, or to whom the same are charged, shall
require a copy of such account, said officers shall, in as short a
time as may be convenient, give him an account of said charges
in words at length; and no account for officers' fees rendered for
services to or in behalf of any county of this State shall be allowed
by the county commissioners thereof, until said account has been
submitted to and approved by the judges of the court of said
county or a majority thereof.

237. The preceding section shall only apply to the counties of
Dorchester, Charles, Caroline, Harford, Kent, Prince George's,
Talbot and Queen Anne's.

238. They may appoint their own crier, and the county com-
missioners shall annually levy for his use a sum not exceeding one
dollar per day for every day the register of wills shall certify he
acted as such.

resident citizens of Dorchester county, to take or catch oysters for
any purpose, in any manner, or with any instrument whatever,
