215. The court or justice trying any case under this sub-title
of this article, shall award one-half of the fine imposed to the
officer or informer through whom the conviction is secured; and
such court or justice shall, immediately after the conviction in,
any case, pass an order determining whether any person by his
exertions shall be awarded any part of the said fine, and how
much shall be paid to each one, the aggregate not to exceed one-
half, and such order shall be final.

216. In the fifth and sixth election districts, any and every
person may proceed to sell liquor or other fermented spirits
in such election districts upon obtaining license therefor, as
provided by public general or public local law; and the comp-
troller of the treasury shall, on application, issue his license
therefor until a change is made in the status of law as to
such election district as in section 217; provided, that such
person, in addition to such license, to be obtained as afore-
said from the comptroller, shall also obtain a license from
the clerk of the circuit court for said county, for the sale of
liquors and other fermented spirits, which license shall be issued
by said clerk as herein provided for issue of license by the
comptroller, upon the payment to him of an equal amount of
money therefor as provided by law for a license from the
State of Maryland, to be obtained as aforesaid from the comp-
troller; and the money so paid for county license to the said
clerk shall be by him paid into the public school fund of
said county; and if any person shall proceed to sell or barter
any liquor or other fermented spirits in such election district
without having first obtained both of said licenses therefor, he
shall on conviction thereof be fined not less than fifty nor more
than one hundred dollars for each offence, and costs, and be com-
mitted by the court until such fine and costs are paid.

the circuit court for said county, upon written petition of at least
one-fourth in number of the registered voters who cast their
