1, The owner or occupant of any enclosure who may find any
horse, cow, sheep, hog or other domestic beast trespassing on the
said enclosed property, may deem the same an estray, and shall
immediately, or within a reasonable time thereafter, cause to be
inserted in some newspaper published in the county where such
estray shall have been taken up, once a week for two successive
weeks, a notice of such estray, with a description of the same,
