1300 SURVEYOR—WARRANT AND RETURN. [ART. 91.

bill or petition is not filed till six years after the death of such
sheriff, deputy sheriff or collector, or until six years after the
term of office has expired, then the trustee or receiver appointed
by the court shall make his collections in the mode lawful for
the recovery of debts.

ARTICLE XCI.

SURVEYOR.

Surveys, Returns and Cer-
tificates.
1. Shall execute warrants from land
office and from courts.
2. Shall keep alphabetical record of
surveys.
3. Books to be open to inspection
4. May appoint deputies
5. May administer oath to chain car-
riers.
6. Only adults to be chain carriers.
7. Shall summon witnesses in execu-
tion of warrant of lesurvey.
8. Shall insert the course and dis-
tance of the given line in all
certificates of survey or resurvey
returned to land office.
9. Shall state in such certificates
number of acres and their value
10. Ten days' notice to be given of ex-
ecution of warrant of resurvey.

executed
12. Certificate by deputy of deceased
surveyor, how and when to be

13 Correction of certificate by order
of commissioner of land office,

1. The surveyor for each county and the city of Baltimore
shall execute all warrants issued from the land office, and all orders
or warrants issued by any court having authority to issue the same,
and shall make return thereof within the time prescribed by law.
