72 JUSTICES OF THE PEACE. [Art. 51.

sec. 20, as re-enacted by 1868, c. 316, and re-enacts the same

with amendments. Sup. 1870, p. 73.

1870, c. 410, repeals sec. 24, being 1867, c. 329, s. 6, and

re-enacts the same with amendments. Sup. 1870, p. 76.

1864, c. 283, an act requiring jurors to take the oath of allegiance, and
to be added to article 40, " Fines and Forfeitures, " was evidently in-
tended to be added to this article, and is repealed by 1867, c. 188.

1870, c. 331, repeals sects. 21 and 23, as far as relates to
Prince George's county, and enacts other provisions in relation
to jurors in that county. See pub. local laws, article 16,
" Prince George's county. "

As to exemption from jury duty of active and honorary members of
volunteer companies of militia, see article 53, sec. 22, " Military. "

1870, c. 142, exempts the supervisors of roads in Howard county from
militia and jury duty. See pub. local laws, article 13, " Howard
county. "

1870, c. 192, B. 7, exempts the supervisors of roads in Anne Arundel
county from militia and jury duty. See pub. local laws, article 2, " Anne
Arundel county. "

1870, c. 96, relates to the placing of names in the box, and drawing for
jurors, in Somerset and Worcester counties, and repeals so much of the
pub. general laws as is inconsistent therewith.

CIVIL JURISDICTION.

1864, c. 179, repeals sects. 9 and 10, and enacts substitutes
therefor. Sup. 1861, '67, p. 140.
1870, c. 39, amends and re-enacts sec. 10.

1868, c. 443, adds sects. 66, 67 and 68, under this sub-title,
relating to lien of execution on real and leasehold estates.
