1868. c. 840, incorporates the Maryland and southern immigration
society.

IMMIGRANT AGENT.

1867, c. 172, enacts sects. 11 to 15, inclusive, under this
sub-title. Sup. 1861, '67, p. 132.

See const. 1867, article x. sec. 8, by which it is provided that after the
election and qualification of the superintendent of labor and agriculture,
the offices of commissioner of immigration, and immigrant agent, shall
cease, and said superintendent shall perform the duties thereof.

ARTICLE XLVI.

Inebriates.

1868, c. 264, authorizes the commissioners of the insane hospital at
Catonsville to receive inebriates as patients, &c. Sup. 1868, p. 119.

1868, c. 437, authorizes the president and directors of the Maryland in-
sane asylum to convey to the Maryland inebriate asylum, certain land
therein mentioned. Sup. 1868, p. 119.

1874, c. 336, makes certain appropriations for the support and mainte-
nance of the Maryland inebriate asylum.

ARTICLE XLVII.

Inheritance.

DESCENTS.

1868, c. 199, repeals sec. 30, and re-enacts the same.

Sup. 1868, p. 120.

(Sec. 135, of article 93, "Testamentary Law, " is identical
with the former sec. 30 of this article, and should be repealed
to conform to 1868, c. 199. The word " born " is omitted in
1868, c. 199, last line. )
