ART. 17. ] QUEEN ANNE'S COUNTY.

the polls, notify in writing the three persons having
the greatest number of votes, that they have been
elected commissioners of Upper Marlborough, and the
said commissioners so notified shall thereupon meet
and qualify, as directed by this act, and take control
and management of the town; all subsequent elections
to be regulated by the by-laws of the corporation.

determined by the commissioners within five days after
their first meeting.

act passed by said commissioners, which said book shall

By section 16 of the same act, the said commissioners are authorized and directed
to dispose of at public sale for cash, after reasonable notice, the property in the town
of Upper Marlborough, known as the " Old Ball Room, " and convey the same to the
purchaser by deed, and the proceeds of sale of said property shall be invested, in
the discretion of said commissioners, for the general improvement or best interest
of the town.
