By section 13 of the act of 1870, c. 161, the county commissioners of Howard and
Montgomery counties are authorized to subscribe to the capital stock of the Saint
James and Ellicott city turnpike company. See public local laws, Article XIII,
Howard county, ante p. 346.
DIVISION LINE BETWEEN PRINCE GEORGE'S AND MONTGOMERY
COUNTIES.
1870, c. 471 repeals section 4 of 1868, c. 466 [Sup. 1868, p. 347] and re-enacts the
same to read as follows.
The sum of five hundred dollars is hereby appropriated to carry into effect the
provisions of this act, and the same shall be under the direction of the governor for
the purpose hereof, and the comptroller shall, under the order of the governor, draw
his warrant on the treasurer for the said sum, in full for all accounts and expenses
incurred in execution of said act.

1870, c. 12 adds the following:

110. No person shall trap, shoot or in any manner
catch, kill, maim or wound any partridge in Mont-
gomery county, between the first day of December and
the first day of October, nor any woodcock between
the first day of January and the tenth day of June,
nor any pheasants between the first day of February
and the first day of September in each year.

111. Any person violating the preceding section shall
pay a fine of five dollars for each and every offence to
the county commissioners of said county; one-half for
the use of the public schools in said county, and one-
half for the benefit of the informer, said fine to be re-
covered before a justice of the peace of said county.
