ROADS.
10. Sub Sec. 1. Road districts and super-
visors.
Sub-Sec. 2. Failure to accept appoint-
ment: removal.

Sub-Sec 3. Duties of supervisors
Sub-Sec. 4 To remove obstructions
from roads, repair bridges, &c.:
bills for expenses receivable for
taxes.
Sub-Sec 5. Repairs, when to be made.
Sub-Sec 6. Supervisors to report semi-
annually salary exempt from mili-
tia and jury duty.
Sub-Sec. 7 Special road tax.
Sub Sec 8 Supervisors may be sued
for dereliction of duty appeal lia-

JUSTICES or THE PEACE AND CONSTABLES.

1870, c. 9 repeals section 25 and re-enacts the same to read as follows:

SEC. 25. There shall be the following number of
justices of the peace and constables for Howard county,
to wit: for election district number one, two justices of
the peace and two constables; for election district num-
ber two, three justices of the peace and two constables;
for election district number three, four justices of the
peace and two constables; for election district number
four, three justices of the peace and two constables; for
election district number five, three justices of the peace
and two constables, and for election district number
six, two justices of the peace and two constables.

Approved and in force February 19, 1870.

1670, c. 3 enacts the following:

36. Sub-Sec. 1. The register of wills for Howard
county is authorized and empowered to examine the
following unexamined records, and to compare the same
with the originals now on file in his office, to wit: the
