dent and commissioners and their successors; provided,
they shall not erect thereon any other than public build-
ings for the use of said town; the house over the mar-
ket-house, which was built by the members of Wash-
ington lodge, number fifty-nine, of Free and Accepted
Masons, shall revert to, vest in and belong to the mas-
ter, wardens and members of Temple lodge, number
one hundred and twenty-eight, of Free and Accepted
Masons, who shall have immediate possession of the
same, they and their successors forever.

Bailiff to collect
taxes.

70. Immediately upon the receipt by him of the
book specified in a preceding section, the bailiff shall
proceed to collect all taxes levied by the said com-
missioners, and shall pay over the same, whenever
required so to do by the said commissioners, to the
treasurer of said corporation. And if any person shall

neglect or refuse to pay said taxes, or shall neglect
'or refuse to pay any fines or forfeitures levied or im-
posed by the said commissioners, the bailiff shall pro-
ceed to collect said taxes, fines or forfeitures by distress
or execution as county taxes are collected; and in order
to enforce the payment of said taxes, fines or forfei-
tures, the duties and powers imposed and conferred on
the collectors of county taxes by the eighty-first article
of the code of public general laws of this state, and its
several supplements and amendments are imposed and
conferred on said bailiff in as full and ample manner
as if the several provisions of the said eighty-first arti-
cle of the code of public general laws and its supple-
ments and amendments relating to the collection of
county taxes, were herein expressly enacted.
