1867, c. 377 repeals, amends and re-enacts 1864, c. 356 and sections 166, 171, 173
and 174 of Public Local Laws, Art. XIX, Somerset county, as follows:

SEC. 1. All the acts of the commissioners of the
town of Salisbury elected since the first day of
April, eighteen hundred and sixty-four, are ratified
and confirmed and made as valid and effectual to all
intents and purposes as if their proceedings had been
strictly according to law.

2. The provisions contained in sections one hun-
dred and sixty-five, one hundred and sixty-seven,
one hundred and sixty-eight, one hundred and sixty-
nine, one hundred and seventy-one, one hundred and
seventy-two, one hundred and seventy-five, one hun-
dred and seventy -six, one hundred and seventy-
seven, one hundred and seventy-eight, of article
nineteen, of the public local laws, Somerset county,
sub-title Salisbury, are hereby extended to the citi-
zens of Salisbury town.

3. The free male white inhabitants of the town of
Salisbury above the age of twenty-one years, who
have resided within the limits of said town for six
months next preceding the election and twelve
months in the state, and all non-residents of the
said town who own any real estate within the cor-
porate limits of said town and pay taxes thereon,
and a resident of the state of Maryland, shall on the
first Monday of April annually elect five persons
who have resided twelve months previous to the
election in said town, and who at the time are con-
ducting some business or are tax-payers therein,
commissioners for said town for the ensuing twelve
months, or until their successors are elected and duly
qualified.

4. The commissioners elect shall within thirty
days after their election duly qualify before any
justice of the peace for Somerset or Worcester by
taking the oath required by law, and if any one
